The Catskill Merchants Association, with support from Cultivate Catskill, is proud to announce the inaugural Summer Solstice Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 4 PM to 10 PM on Main Street in Catskill. Building on the tremendous success of the village’s winter solstice event, this extended evening celebration will feature a variety of family-friendly activities to welcome the summer season. The event will transform Main Street into a pedestrian-only celebration zone from the northern corner down to the Bridge Street light, with Church Street also closed to vehicular traffic. Main Street businesses will extend their hours until at least 8 PM, offering special activities and unique shopping experiences.

Festivities will commence at 4:00 pm followed by a full schedule of entertainment including:

• Live music entertainment in the Main Street pocket parks

• The Fire Department is hosting water balloon tosses from 4pm - 6:30pm

• Face painting, Flower crown making

• Roaming musicians and dancers

• Performances in shops

• Sidewalk activation from shops with pop-up vendors, crafts and activities

• Decorative floral installations down the center of Main St donated by Howard’s Florist

• Solstice Ceremony performance at 6:45 on Church Street

• Fire pit with free smores on Church Street at 7pm

• Outdoor Dance party at Avalon on Church Street at 8 pm
